Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Our Instructional Day is from 9:05 - 3:45 and we follow the county's A-E Day Resource Schedule . Students are expected to be in their seats by 9:05 ready to learn. Car riders are dismissed at 3:45 and buses are called starting at 3:50.
Our school mascot is LEO the Lion. A school-wide contest was held to come up with a name for our mascot that had an academic and character meaning. In 1996, Jimmy and April Hilmer created the winning name, Learning Equals Opportunity. If we learn about academics and character and do our best, we will have many opportunities in our lives for success.
There is a six-foot wooden LEO that stands in our lobby to greet students each morning. The lion was designed and painted by Robin Strayer, who is a parent, of one of our students. The wooden lion was completed in 1997.
